Day 51: Five Top Tips to Get Your Kids Out Into The Garden

A long weekend is around the corner, so here are five ways to encourage your child to get out into the garden!

1. Show your child something new

Have them draw a picture or write about what they’ve found.

2. Embrace “Let ME do it!”

Allow your child to get their hands dirty by picking produce and watering plants.

3. Encourage your child to be creative

Have them paint pots with their own designs.

4. Designate an area of the garden that is their domain.

Allow your child to foster a sense of pride for their very own space.

5. Have them choose what they want to grow

Talk about their favourite fruit and vegetables, and make a seasonal growing chart.
