Day 34: Flowers from the Farmers’ Market

Shopping at the farmers’ market is fabulous, and this morning hubby and I went to our local.

Knowing where your food comes from is a reality at this place, and growing conditions are made that much better because of the pride and passion the people put in to making their food: the butcher knew how much sugar was in each variant of his sausages; the florist told me the hour the flowers were picked; and, the menu at the food truck was made up of ingredients sourced from every stall.

It’s important to have a connection with where our food comes from because when we do, we appreciate it that much more. And when we appreciate something, we value it, and that brings about intrinsic satisfaction. And that’s what makes us happy!

Until tomorrow,

Bianca
