Day 43: The best Dirty Dozen

My gorgeous friend, Miss S, and her beautiful baby boy, Master S, came to visit today, bearing my favourite gift: eggs!

Organic, free range eggs are the only way to eat this food on many levels: taste, nutrition and ethics. And when they come from a friend, eggs deliver the feeling of intrinsic satisfaction of knowing exactly where your food comes from.

These good looking googs sport real farm dirt because they come from chickens who do chicken things, such as scratch soil looking for worms.

Many people are starting to adopt backyard chooks into their family. Not only do they lay tasty eggs, chickens are fun to watch, eat many household scraps and connect us with our food. Here is a link to some tips if you are getting clucky 🙂 http://www.abc.net.au/environment/articles/2011/04/19/3191836.htm

Until tomorrow,

Bianca
